Duties and Responsibilities
To comply with all reasonable health and safety requirements as designated by CAPS Australia.
Accurate and competent mechanical fitting, fabrication and assembly, testing and commissioning in a timely manner,
of all modifications to compressed air equipment and associated products in CAPS Manufacturing / Projects departments.
Mechanical Fitting Includes But Is Not Limited To
- Assembly of Major Equipment Items on Structural Steel Skid Frames or inside Containers
- Thread sealing, Mating Flanges, Press Fitting of piping and fittings on air and oil circuits.
- Installation of Compression Fittings for tubing – copper/stainless steel
- Hand Tools for cutting, grinding, sanding, polishing, drilling, sealing
- Welding of simple fabricated items and bracketry where required and qualified to do so
Mechanical fault finding and repairs to company equipment, buildings and assets.
Safe Lifting of Equipment Using Cranes and lifting equipment such as slings, chains, spreader bars
Safe Operation of Workshop Utility Vehicle, Various Forklifts & once i
