Medical Receptionist — Specialist Practice, St. George Private Hospital, Kogarah

We're a small, close-knit specialist medical practice at St. George Private Hospital looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to become a permanent trusted part of our front-desk team.

We're specifically looking for someone who:

- Has solid, hands-on experience as a Medical Receptionist in a healthcare setting — you know how a medical practice runs and can hit the ground running

- Is exceptionally reliable — someone we can count on to show up, follow through, and be a steady presence for our patients and our team

- Communicates brilliantly — warm and reassuring with patients, clear and qualified with doctors and colleagues, confident handling sensitive conversations (including financial consent)

- Is looking for long-term stability, not a short-term role.

What you'll be doing

- Welcoming patients and creating a calm, professional first impression

- Managing our appointment schedule, including rescheduling and cancellations

- Handling patient enquiries and explaining financial consent for consultations and procedures clearly and sensitively

- Maintaining accurate,



up-to-date patient records and files

- Processing referrals and results, and ensuring correspondence reaches referring doctors promptly

- General office support — scanning, supplies, and assisting the medical team as needed

- Upholding strict confidentiality of patient medical and financial information at all times

What you'll bring

- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in healthcare customer service

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks calmly

- Proficiency with medical practice management software (Gentu) and Microsoft Office

- Flexibility to help cover staff absences when needed
