About the Role
We are currently seeking a Mature, reliable, and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. You will work closely with our doctors and clinical team to ensure the smooth and professional day-to-day operation of the clinic.
Reception staff provide a high standard of customer service and administrative support to both patients and doctors.
Availability:
Shifts are rostered Monday through to Sunday, including evenings and weekends as required.
20 plus hours per week
Immediate Start.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Managing a high volume of patient phone enquiries
- Booking appointments and accurately entering patient data
- Booking care plans, health assessments, and related appointments
- Generating invoices and processing payments
- Processing Medicare claims
- Maintaining doctors’ appointment schedules
- Responding to and actioning doctors’ requests promptly
- General administrative and reception duties as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous medical reception experience is essential
- Understanding of Medicare item numbers
- Experience with Best Practice and Tyro is advantageous but not essential
- Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills and professional phone manner
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Commitment to long-term employment
