BuiltGrid is a construction platform connecting builders, trades, and suppliers with the goal to help build more homes more efficiently. We're building a new software category in connected procurement. As a market network, we partner deeply with builder management systems and integrate with the tools the industry already runs on today. As a full stack engineer you’ll be tackling challenges in the construction industry that have not been tackled before. You'll set the patterns, tooling, and standards that we build on as we deliver new product experiences. You'll work with AI-first tooling throughout the development lifecycle and help define how the team uses agentic coding tools for work responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

- Build a React frontend, establishing patterns for component design, state management, data fetching, routing, and build tooling
- Write clean TypeScript and React code that sets the standard for the team
- Establish a shared architecture between React (web) and React Native (mobile) that maximises code reuse without ignoring platform-specific conventions
- Architecture to include a strong backend platform that supports multi-sided transaction and B2B informational workflows between partner software integrations for builder and supplier applications and systems.
- Collaborate on consolidation decisions: mapping legacy screens, workflows, and integrations into the current frontend




- Work with the existing product to translate workflows, business rules, and user expectations into the modern experience
- Contribute to team standards for AI-assisted frontend development, including prompt practices and review expectations
- Identify opportunities for UX, performance, and accessibility improvements across the frontend
- Collaborate with the broader team and partners on API contracts, delivery pipelines, and deployment concerns.

About you

- 5+ years in frontend development, with at least 3 years working in React and TypeScript
- Strong command of modern state management, component architecture, testing, and build tooling
- Experience owning frontend testing strategy: unit, component, and end-to-end
- Hands-on experience integrating frontends with REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Demonstrated use of AI coding tools with a perspective on safe, effective team adoption
- Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, code review, and SDLC best practice
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design across desktop and mobile
