Non-Executive Director – Strategic Marketing, Public Relations & Stakeholder Engagement

Location: Ipswich, Queensland

Our client is a significant Queensland sporting and racing organisation responsible for the governance and strategic oversight of one of Australia's newest and most prominent sporting precincts.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Non-Executive Director to join the Board and help shape the organisation's strategic direction, reputation and long‑term success.

We are seeking an accomplished leader with expertise in strategic marketing, brand positioning, public relations and stakeholder engagement to provide strategic guidance on organisational reputation, communications and customer experience, while strengthening relationships across members, participants and key stakeholders.

As a member of the Board, you will contribute to the organisation's strategic positioning, support high‑level communications and advocacy initiatives, provide oversight of customer experience strategies, and help foster positive engagement with government, industry and community stakeholders.





The ideal candidate will bring:

- Previous Board or senior executive leadership experience.
- Expertise in strategic marketing, branding, public relations or corporate communications.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse audiences.
- Experience representing organisations with government, industry bodies, members or community stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the sporting, racing or member-based sectors, together with an understanding of the broader industry landscape and emerging challenges, will be highly regarded.
- A collaborative leadership style, sound judgement, and a commitment to integrity, accountability and effective governance.
