Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mobile Crushing Fitter role based in Perth, WA.
The Mobile Crushing
Fitter will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mobile crushing and screening equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and completing high-quality repairs in line with safety and industry standards. The role involves working closely with site supervisors and operators to minimise equipment downtime, support production targets, and keep accurate maintenance records.
The Mobile Crushing
Fitter will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, follow all workplace health and safety procedures, and support safe work practices across sites.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in mobile crushing and screening equipment maintenance and repair, including fault-finding and preventative maintenance.
- Solid mechanical fitting skills, with competence in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems relevant to mining plant.
- Formal trade qualification (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Heavy Plant Fitter) or equivalent relevant experience in mining or heavy industry.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, including adherence to WHS regulations, safe work methods, and risk assessment procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, operators, and other trades.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time in a rapid-paced environment.
- Current driver’s licence; ability and willingness to work on various sites within the Perth, WA region as required.
- Experience in the mining industry and familiarity with crushing circuits and screening processes is highly regarded.
