We have a great prospect for an experienced MOHS Lab Technician to join our hospital team on a casual basis Monday to Friday.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Process and embed tissue specimens using freezing techniques
- Advise team on test methodology and interpretation
- Record all lab activities, procedures and equipment maintenance
- Perform routine and specialised staining procedures
- Manage lab stock ensuring availability of consumables
About You:
You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualifications in Laboratory Science or Applied Science
- Understanding of NSQHS standards and infection control
- Knowledge of legislative requirements and reporting responsibilities of hospitals
- High attention to detail and quality control

Mount Hawthorn Day Hospital in Perth WA is a Class B accredited day hospital with 4 Operating Theatres, which specialises in Mohs Surgery, General Dermatology and Vasectomy services.
All of our patients walk in and out of theatre and whilst we have restricted patient numbers, the patients have multiple visits to surgery per day resulting in a fast paced but rewarding environment.
