“Every nurse can and should own their own home. That’s the whole business- not a tagline.”
About us
Finance4Nurses is Australia’s leading mortgage broking business for nurses. We’ve helped thousands of nurses into their first home, and we’re still growing fast.
We’re not a generalist brokerage that happens to see a few nurses. Nurses are the only client we serve. Everything we do is built around what makes their situation different: shift work, penalty rates, HECS debt, and a lending system that too often treats them like a “no” instead of a “yes.”
Who we're looking for
We’d rather hire someone with less experience who genuinely cares whether a nurse ends up in the right home, than someone with ten years’ experience chasing settlement numbers.
You’ll fit here if
- You want to properly understand a client’s situation before you recommend anything; not just get them across the line
- You’re motivated by how many nurses you help into a home, not by the size of the loan
- You take ownership of a file end to end; no passing the parcel, no dropped balls
- You explain things in plain English, the way you’d want it explained to you
What you'll bring
- Diploma of Finance & Mortgage Broking (minimum) - Certificate IV plus strong relevant experience will also be considered
- MFAA or FBAA accreditation, or eligible to obtain it
- Experience across first home buyers, refinances, upgrades or investment lending
- A background in or genuine affinity for the health sector is a real plus but not a dealbreaker.
- Care about nurses, and we’ll teach you the rest.
What you'll do
- Run planning appointments and structure lending solutions for nurses at every life stage from first home, upgrade, investment, refinance
- Manage clients end to end, from first conversation through to settlement and beyond
- Work our lender panel to find the right fit for each client’s circumstances, not just the easiest approval
- Help us keep improving how we serve clients; you’ll have a real say, not just a script to follow
How we'll measure you Most brokerages measure and reward brokers by the value of the loans they write i.e. a $2m loan gets ten times the recognition of a $200k one. We don’t work that way. We measure and pay bonuses based on how many nurses we help into their own home. A $200k first home buyer and a $2m upgrade are the same to us- either way, one more nurse owns their own home.
That doesn’t mean happy clients are the whole job. We still need brokers who consistently write valuable volume of business. The difference is what we’re optimising for: helping the most nurses possible, not the biggest loans.
Our values - the actual filter we hire and manage against
- Nurses first, always: every decision serves the nurse, not the deal
- Make the hard thing simple: plain English, no jargon, no making people feel small
- Own it to the end: someone always holds the client, no dropped balls
- Run it like it’s yours: initiative over permission
- Steady and straight: honest, direct, dependable
- Always learning: we keep getting better, for ourselves, each other, and our clients
