Join GKR Transport – Redbank

GKR Transport is looking for an experienced and reliable MR Driver to join our busy Redbank team.

This is a outstanding opportunity for a confident local driver who enjoys variety, knows their way around general freight and is happy to roll up their sleeves when needed.

You’ll be completing local pickups and deliveries across Brisbane, operating MR tautliner and open rigid trucks, and assisting in the yard when required. This is a hands on role in a small, hardworking team where everyone pitches in to get the job done.

If you have solid MR driving experience, understand load restraint and want a stable Monday to Friday role with plenty of hours available, we want to hear from you.

What’s on offer

- Pay Rate: $35.11 per hour
- Flat rate up to 50 hours, then penalties apply
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am start to finish

About the role You will be responsible for:

- Operating tautliner and open rigid trucks
- Completing local pickups and deliveries across Brisbane
- Using gates, tarps, straps, chains, dogs and binders
- Securing a variety of general freight, including awkward and unconventional loads
- Completing pre start and end of day vehicle checks




- Maintaining a strong focus on safety and presentation
- Assisting in the yard when required
- Working as part of a fast-paced, high-volume transport team

About you To be successful, you will need:

- A manual MR licence as a minimum
- At least 2 years’ truck driving experience
- Experience with general freight
- Strong load restraint knowledge
- Experience using tarps, straps, dogs, chains and binders
- Knowledge of the Brisbane metropolitan area
- A clean driving record
- A reliable, team first attitude
- A willingness to assist in the yard when required
- A forklift ticket is advantageous
