Attention To Dental
Perth
Multi-Site Practice Manager
Perth, WA /9-Day Fortnight
A senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished dental professional ready to influence people, performance and operational excellence across multiple practices. Attention To Dental is exclusively recruiting for an experienced Multi-Site Practice Manager to join an established and growing national dental group, overseeing a portfolio of practices across North Fremantle, Cottesloe and Claremont, with an additional location anticipated to join the portfolio.
This is a newly created position and represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced dental leader who has progressed beyond the day-to-day management of a single practice and is ready to take on broader operational responsibility.
Our client is looking for someone who can bring structure, leadership and commercial awareness to the role while building strong relationships with individual Practice Managers and their teams.
Importantly, this is not simply about maintaining what already exists. You will have the opportunity to influence processes, share your expertise and contribute to the continued development of the group as part of a larger national organisation.
The opportunity
Working across several established dental practices, you will provide leadership and operational support to ensure each location is performing effectively while maintaining a strong and consistent team culture. You will work closely with Practice Managers and senior operational leadership, developing relationships across the group and helping individual practices move from reactive day-to-day management toward proactive planning and continuous improvement.
Your focus will include
- Supporting and developing Practice Managers across multiple locations
- Building strong, accountable and engaged practice teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and workflows
- Supporting operational performance across the practices
- Creating greater consistency in the patient and team experience
- Developing transparent action plans and ensuring initiatives are followed through
- Supporting succession planning and capability development within the teams
- Maintaining effective communication between individual practices and senior management
- Using your dental knowledge to understand operational challenges and provide practical solutions
- Supporting patient management, scheduling, recalls, treatment coordination, accounts and broader front-office processes from an operational leadership perspective
- Encouraging a proactive, commercially aware approach to practice management
Who we are looking for
This appointment requires someone with genuine dental industry knowledge and established leadership capability. You are likely to already be working as an experienced Practice Manager, Multi-Site Manager, Business Manager, Operations Manager or in a comparable senior dental leadership position.
You will bring a minimum of five years' dental experience, strong Australian dental industry experience and a sound understanding of how successful practices operate. Experience with Dental4Windows (D4W) is required, together with sufficient clinical knowledge to confidently communicate with both clinical and non-clinical teams.
Just as importantly, you will know how to lead people.
Our client is specifically looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and professional
- An exceptional communicator
- Calm and considered under pressure
- Proactive rather than reactive
- Commercially aware
- Comfortable holding people accountable
- Able to build credibility quickly with established teams
- Flexible and adaptable across different practice environments
- Detail focused without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Self-motivated and capable of working with a high degree of autonomy
- Enthusiastic about developing people and improving processes
- A genuine team player
The brief is very clear that the successful candidate must present professionally, communicate well, possess strong knowledge and bring a "can-do" attitude to the position. This will particularly suit a leader who enjoys identifying opportunities for improvement and then taking responsibility for seeing those improvements implemented.
What is on offer
This is an opportunity to step into a broader leadership position with the backing and resources of a national organisation while remaining closely connected to individual practices and their teams.
The package includes
Attractive Renumeration
9-day fortnight
Performance incentives / bonus opportunity
Four-week structured onboarding program, working alongside Practice Managers and the Practice Development Manager
Professional development and mentoring from senior operations leadership, including further development in commercial and business management
Genuine opportunity for future progression within a larger national dental organisation The practices themselves have an established workforce,
with an average staff tenure of approximately five years, and the organisation identifies respect and team culture as important reasons people enjoy working within the group.
About the portfolio
The initial portfolio includes practices in: North Fremantle – 3 surgeries
Cottesloe – 5 surgeries
Claremont – 5 surgeries with a fourth practice location to be confirmed.
Across the broader team there are approximately 15 dentists, 3 hygienists, 18 dental assistants and 8 reception team members, supported by existing Practice Management.
This scale is what makes the opportunity particularly attractive: you are not being brought in to personally manage every operational detail. You are being appointed to lead through others, strengthen management capability and create consistency across multiple businesses.
