Deliver Projects That Actually Make a Difference
- Diverse projects throughout the Northern Territory
- Five weeks' annual leave
- Four-day work week initiative following probation
- A very competitive and attractive salary for this role
The Opportunity
If you're a Project Manager who enjoys variety, autonomy and seeing projects through from an idea to a successful outcome, this is an opportunity worth considering.
We're representing a highly regarded multidisciplinary engineering and project management consultancy seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Darwin team.
You’ll manage an unusually diverse portfolio spanning housing, commercial developments, community facilities, land development and civil infrastructure, with projects located throughout Darwin as well as regional and remote areas of the Northern Territory.
This isn’t a role where you'll spend every day managing the same type of project.
You’ll be involved from the early planning stages, helping clients determine how projects should be delivered, then coordinating the consultants, contractors, approvals, procurement and construction required to make them happen.
What you’ll be involved In
You’ll take ownership of projects across their lifecycle, including:
- Project planning, programming and delivery
- Building and civil infrastructure projects
- Design and consultant coordination
- Procurement and tender processes
- Contract administration
- Budgets, programmes and project reporting
- Risk identification and management
- Contractor performance and construction progress
- Client and stakeholder management
- Site meetings and inspections
- Coordination of multidisciplinary project teams
- Projects across Darwin, regional centres and remote communities.
Who Would Suit This Role?
- Your background could come from project management, engineering, construction management, architecture or a related discipline.
- More importantly, you'll understand how to bring people together and keep projects moving.
- You’ll be commercially aware, organised and comfortable dealing with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities. You’ll also need the confidence to make decisions, manage competing priorities and solve problems when projects don’t go exactly according to plan.
- Experience across the planning, design, procurement and construction stages would be particularly valuable. You’ll also need a current Australian driver's licence and be comfortable with periodic travel to regional and remote project locations.
Why This Opportunity?
- There are plenty of Project Manager positions.
- There aren’t as many that give you this breadth of responsibility and the opportunity to deliver projects that have a genuine impact on communities.
- You'll work alongside experienced professionals across engineering, design, project management and digital engineering, while continuing to broaden your own project delivery capability.
The package also includes:
- Competitive remuneration based on experience
- Five weeks' annual leave
- Flexible working arrangements
- Access to a four-day work week initiative after probation
- Career development and genuine career progression.
