About the role

MCR Security Services is seeking a professional and vigilant Security Guard/Crowd Control Specialist to join our growing team on a part-time basis in sth east Melbourne suburbs. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining safety and security at various venues and events, ensuring the protection of assets, personnel, and the public. This position plays a crucial part in our mission to deliver reliable and professional security solutions to our clients across the sth east region and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

1. Monitor and patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent unauthorised access, theft, and suspicious activity
2. Manage crowd control at events, venues, and public gatherings, ensuring orderly conduct and safety compliance
3. Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, providing first aid when necessary
4. Conduct routine security checks of premises, including perimeter inspections and equipment verification
5. Maintain detailed incident reports and security logs documenting all observations and actions taken
6. Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and emergency services to coordinate security operations
7. Enforce venue policies and security protocols, addressing breaches professionally and diplomaticall
8. Provide a visible deterrent to criminal activity through professional presence and demeanour

What we're looking for

1. Current Victorian security guard/crowd control license
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
3. Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
4.



Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods
5. Reliability and strong attendance record
6. Knowledge of security procedures, emergency protocols, and relevant legislation
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a security team
8. Professional appearance and demeanour
