We are seeking a Sandwich Artist to join the team at Sub Mackay Pty Ltd in Paget, QLD. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality setting. As a Sandwich Artist, you will be the face of our brand, creating fresh, high-quality sandwiches and food items whilst delivering exceptional customer service. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring customers receive perfectly crafted meals that meet our quality standards every single time.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and assembling sandwiches, wraps and other food items to order with precision and attention to detail
- Following recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across all products
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and hygienically, including slicers, toasters and other food preparation tools
- Maintaining a clean and organised workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Taking customer orders and responding to special requests with a positive attitude
- Communicating effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow during busy service periods
- Handling cash and card transactions accurately and professionally
- Restocking ingredients and supplies as needed throughout your shift
- Assisting with general kitchen duties and cleaning tasks

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in food preparation, kitchen work or a hospitality role is desirable but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality standards consistently
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service




- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst remaining calm under pressure
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work casual hours including weekends and peak times
- A commitment to food safety and hygiene practices at all times
- The willingness to learn and take on feedback constructively
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Must be willing to obtain a current Food Safety Certificate or equivalent if not already held
