Senior Associate | Wills & Estates | Melbourne A well-regarded and growing Melbourne law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its established Wills & Estates team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior practitioner looking to work closely with experienced leaders on a broad range of estate planning, estate administration and estate disputes. You'll be joining a collaborative team with direct access to senior mentors, genuine autonomy over your files and clear pathways for long-term career progression.
The role offers exposure to complex and interesting matters while working alongside highly experienced practitioners in a supportive, high-performing environment. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to practice development, mentor junior lawyers and build strong relationships with clients and referral partners.
The Role The successful candidate will:
- Manage a broad range of Wills & Estates matters, including estate planning, probate and estate administration, and estate disputes
- Provide strategic, practical and commercially focused legal advice
- Build and maintain robust client and referrer relationships
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the development of the team
- Work closely with senior practitioners on complex matters and practice growth
- Play an active role in business development initiatives
About You The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years' PAE in Wills & Estates
- Strong experience across estate planning and estate administration, with estate disputes experience viewed favourably
- Excellent drafting, communication and client relationship management skills
- The ability to manage matters autonomously while working collaboratively within a team
- A commercial approach to client service and business development
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- An interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team growth
- A proactive approach to technology and continuous improvement
