About the Position The Retail Manager is responsible for planning, organising, directing and controlling the day-to-day operations of El Jannah Gregory Hills. This hands‑on leadership role ensures efficient business performance, compliance with food safety and workplace standards, effective staff management, solid financial outcomes and high levels of customer satisfaction in a busy seven-day-a-week quick-service environment.

Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily operations of a high-volume quick-service restaurant. Plan and coordinate staffing requirements, prepare employee rosters and manage labour costs.

Recruit, interview, train, supervise and evaluate staff performance. Monitor sales, prepare budgets, analyse financial performance and implement strategies to achieve business objectives. Manage purchasing,



inventory control and supplier relationships to ensure adequate stock levels and minimise wastage.

Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards, Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and company policies. Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve customer complaints effectively. Oversee cash handling, banking procedures and operational reporting.

Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase sales and customer engagement. Ensure compliance with El Jannah franchise operating procedures and quality standards. Prepare operational reports and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximise productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality Management or a related field.

At least 1–2 years of full-time experience in a retail, hospitality or quick-service restaurant management role, with demonstrated experience in staff supervision, inventory control, customer service and day-to-day operational management. Strong leadership, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a busy seven-day operation including flexible hours, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, sales monitoring, cost control and reporting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for staff coaching, customer service and complaint resolution. Knowledge of food safety standards, WHS requirements and inventory/purchasing processes. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced quick-service environment.
