This senior role, requiring 30 hrs/week, reports directly to the Board and is based broadly within the Southern Central Queensland region, with flexible working arrangements available. The position leads the organisation's day-to-day operations and supports the Board in delivering strategic, governance and operational priorities. The Executive Officer will work closely with the Board, staff, landholders, community groups, government agencies, funders and industry partners to strengthen governance, support project delivery, maintain organisational compliance and build trusted stakeholder relationships across the region.
Key responsibilities
Supporting the Board to deliver strategic direction, organisational priorities and sound governance
Overseeing financial management, contracts, reporting obligations and funded project delivery
Providing professional, practical and supportive day-to-day leadership to staff and contractors
Maintaining organisational compliance with legislation, funding requirements, governance obligations and internal systems
Building and maintaining robust relationships with stakeholders, including members, landholders, community groups, government, industry and regional partners
About you
A capable and professional leader with experience in governance, operational management, stakeholder engagement and strategic delivery
Self-driven, organised and confident in managing competing priorities, people, projects and reporting requirements
An excellent communicator with strong problem-solving, decision-making and relationship-building skills, ideally with experience in agriculture, natural resource management, community engagement or project delivery
A current driver's licence is essential
A degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Management, Agriculture, Communications, Business Management or equivalent work experience will be highly regarded
