Senior Capability Advisor | Subiaco | Corporate

The Role The Senior Capability Advisor is responsible for designing, embedding and continuously improving the organisation's approach to talent management, succession planning and leadership development. The role partners closely with the People leadership team and site-based HR teams to ensure the business has a robust, forward-looking pipeline of capable leaders and critical-role successors to support safe, sustainable production and future growth. This role plays a critical part in providing the frameworks, tools & coaching to build organisational capability across a geographically dispersed, operationally intensive workforce, ensuring capability initiatives are practical, scalable and fit for a mining operating environment.
The role will be based at our Perth Head Office.
About You To succeed in this role, you are an experienced capability professional with a proven ability to develop talent, strengthen leadership capability and build succession pipelines that supports business growth and performance.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in a People & Culture, Organisational Development or Talent-focused role, with demonstrated specialisation in talent management, succession planning and/or leadership development.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering succession planning processes for Executive and senior leadership populations.
- Proven track record in implementing leadership development programs at multiple levels of an organisation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior leaders and site-based operational teams alike.
- Excellent facilitation skills, with confidence delivering to senior audiences and calibration forums.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate talent data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
- High degree of judgement, discretion and confidentiality given the sensitivity of succession and talent data.
- Resilient, self-directed and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business with competing priorities.
- Genuine interest in, and commitment to, the safety, culture and values of a modern mining organisation.
- Willingness and ability to travel to site as required.
It would be beneficial if you have:
- Prior experience within the mining, resources or heavy industrial sector, including familiarity with FIFO/DIDO workforce models and African operations.
- Postgraduate qualification or accreditation in psychometric tools, coaching or organisational development.
Where you’ll be working This position is based in Perseus’ Subiaco office, with a corporate team of approximately 60 employees and growing. You’ll join a small corporate team, allowing for close interactions across all departments and levels of the business.
