Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Type: Casual Contract

Duration: 6 Months (Subject to extension)

Location: Perth, WA

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver civil engineering design packages, including earthworks, roads, drainage, and site infrastructure.
- Prepare engineering documentation, including Basis of Design, Design Reports, Technical Specifications, Scopes of Work, and Material Take-Offs.
- Provide civil engineering leadership and technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and execution.
- Review engineering models, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards.
- Manage external engineering consultants, including deliverables, budgets, schedules, and performance.
- Develop and manage spatial and mapping datasets to identify site constraints and support project planning.
- Assess and recommend civil infrastructure solutions that optimize safety, constructability, cost, and schedule outcomes.
- Support engineering risk assessments and manage civil engineering risks throughout project development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Mining, Rail, Operations, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and foster a collaborative engineering culture.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.




- Minimum 8 years' experience delivering civil engineering design and studies for industrial or major infrastructure projects.
- Robust experience in the design of earthworks, roads, drainage, and site infrastructure .
- Proficiency with 12d Model for civil engineering design.
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation for engineering drafting and drawing reviews.
- Experience with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Global Mapper , including analysis of LiDAR, aerial imagery, and terrain models.
- Experience using AutoCAD Vehicle Tracking or AutoTURN .
- Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modelling/assessment software.
- Proven experience preparing engineering study documentation, including Basis of Design documents, Technical Specifications, and Design Reports.
- Experience managing engineering consultants and providing technical oversight within an owner's engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering risk management and project development processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with project scheduling, regulatory approvals, and relevant Australian engineering standards and legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
