About the Role
Tribe Rural Logistics are a growing and expanding regional express bulk freight delivery business based in Beechworth VIC. We are expanding and heading into the busy season, we are seeking a driver to start with us on a casual basis with a view to move full time.
The role will start 1-2 shifts a week, moving into a full time role with guaranteed 50 hours per week once the role progresses and the base workload matures.
All of our work consists of curtainsider 14 pallet industrial pickups and deliveries to and from Melbourne, mixture of fork on/off and tailgate work. You MUST be experienced driving in metro Melbourne and comfortable with the associated traffic and higher stress driving environment. Your role will involve both runs to and from Melbourne, as well as days where you will only complete local deliveries around Albury,
Wangaratta and surrounding areas. You must be willing and able to do both types of runs. A current BFM is strongly preferred.
Your days will look like:
-> 5am start in Albury (typically 14 hour days door to door)
-> Deliveries down to Melbourne, pickups across Melbourne
->Return to Albury
->The next day, deliveries locally.
The successful candidate must possess all of the below (non-negotiable)
Robust HR driving experience in 8.8m long vehicles or longer
Experience with and happy to do tailgate deliveries
Able to pass a medical and police check
Strong presentation and customer service ability
Calm under pressure
Strong problem solving ability
