- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $119,292 to $134,587 pa + super

Our Corporate Affairs team is currently seeking to temporarily appoint a Senior Coordination Officer to provide high-level strategic, executive and operational support that enables the effective delivery of key business priorities across the Department.

As a trusted advisor within Corporate Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Director by coordinating complex and time-sensitive requests, providing high-quality briefings and correspondence, and ensuring the smooth flow of information across a diverse portfolio of programs and initiatives. You will work at the centre of decision-making, helping to manage competing priorities and ensuring executive leadership is informed, prepared and supported on critical issues impacting the department.

This is a fast-paced and highly visible role that offers the opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders, subject matter experts and stakeholders across DCCEEW. You'll contribute to strategic coordination activities, monitor emerging issues and risks and drive continuous improvements to business processes and workflows.

What you’ll be doing In this role you will keep the Executive Director’s office running smoothly. From managing a fast moving diary and handling sensitive correspondence, to coordinating briefings,



meetings and papers and assisting the office of the executive director on projects for the division. Your work makes it easier for senior leaders to focus on decisions that matter.

You’ll be a trusted first point of contact, using judgement, discretion and strong organisation skills to triage issues and keep work moving.

At the same time, you’ll juggle competing priorities, tight deadlines and unexpected changes without missing a beat. You’ll balance multiple tasks, manage confidential information with care, and stay one step ahead by spotting emerging issues, improving office systems and providing consistently high‑quality executive support in a busy, complex environment.

About You

You are an organised and proactive qualified with experience supporting senior executives and coordinating complex business activities within a large and dynamic organisation. You have strong analytical skills and can quickly assess information, identify key issues, and provide clear, well-reasoned advice on matters of strategic importance. Your ability to prepare high-quality briefings, correspondence and executive materials, coupled with your understanding of government processes and public sector environments, will enable you to confidently navigate competing demands and deliver high-quality outcomes.

You are an exceptional communicator who can translate complex information into concise, plain English for a range of audiences, including executives and ministerial stakeholders. You build productive relationships,



exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive matters and thrive in a collaborative environment where priorities can shift quickly. With strong attention to detail, excellent planning and prioritisation skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you bring the professionalism, adaptability and resilience needed to succeed in this influential role.
