Reporting to a Finance Manager and working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, this role offers a broad mix of financial reporting, tax, audit coordination and business partnering responsibilities. It is ideally suited to a high-performing accountant looking to make their second move from professional practice or take the next step from a Financial Accountant position into a more senior and commercially focused role.

Key Responsibilities
Financial & Statutory Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for multiple entities within the group.
- Assist with ASX reporting requirements, including half-year and year-end reporting processes.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and corporate policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities.
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and review BAS, IAS and other indirect tax obligations.
- Assist with income tax calculations and tax effect accounting.
- Liaise with external tax advisors on compliance and advisory matters.
- Monitor changes in accounting and tax legislation and assess business impacts.
Audit & Controls
- Coordinate external audit processes and manage auditor requests.
- Assist in the preparation of audit files and technical accounting papers.
- Support the ongoing enhancement of financial controls, policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and risk requirements.
Business Partnering
- Partner with asset management, property, operations and commercial teams across the business.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Assist with investment, development and acquisition-related financial analysis.
- Support stakeholders with budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and financial processes.
- Participate in finance transformation and systems enhancement initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the finance function.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification (CA highly regarded).
- 4–7 years' accounting experience.
- A background in Audit, Business Services or Financial Accounting.
- Experience within property, real estate, funds management or a listed environment will be highly regarded.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large ERP systems.
