We're working with a well-established engineering consultancy that has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality foundation engineering solutions across Queensland and New South Wales. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Senior Foundations Engineer (RPEQ) to join their leadership team.
This is more than a technical design role. You'll play a key part in mentoring engineers, overseeing project delivery, reviewing complex designs, and helping drive engineering standards across the business.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the delivery of residential foundation engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Review and approve engineering designs in your capacity as an RPEQ.
- Supervise and mentor graduate and intermediate engineers, helping develop technical capability across the team.
- Prepare and review footing, slab and foundation designs using industry software and engineering principles.
- Work closely with clients, builders and internal stakeholders to deliver practical, commercially sound engineering solutions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining high technical and quality standards.
- Contribute to improving engineering processes, design standards and quality systems across the business.
What we're looking for
- RPEQ registration (essential).
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Around 5+ years' experience within the Australian residential building or construction industry.
- Strong experience in foundation and residential structural design.
- Solid understanding of Australian Standards, building codes and engineering best practice.
- Experience using engineering design software together with AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting platforms.
- Comfortable reviewing designs, making engineering decisions and providing technical leadership.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
