As part of a specialist Health & Safety function, you will play a key role in delivering strategic safety and wellbeing initiatives that positively impact employees across both operational and corporate environments.
Your new role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a collaborative team in a senior business partnering capacity.
You will take ownership of several high-impact programmes focused on psychosocial risk, mental health, trauma support and workplace wellbeing while partnering closely with operational leaders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading a major aggression and violence prevention programme
- Finalising and embedding a trauma risk management framework
- Supporting the delivery of a large-scale fatigue risk management programme
- Providing specialist advice on psychosocial risk and psychological health
- Acting as the initial point of contact for psychological injury and mental health-related matters
- Partnering with operational leaders to improve health, safety and wellbeing outcomes
- Coordinating governance activities relating to drug and alcohol testing programmes
- Supporting the development and implementation of psychosocial risk frameworks and investigation processes
- Contributing to organisational change initiatives from a health and safety perspective This role offers a blend of strategic project ownership and operational business partnering,
making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, influence and meaningful work.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Trauma-Informed Care, or a related mental health discipline, with experience applying this expertise within a corporate or organisational environment.
- Experience supporting mentally healthy workplaces, psychosocial risk programmes, trauma-informed care initiatives or psychological health frameworks.
- Solid understanding of psychosocial hazards, psychological injury prevention and workplace wellbeing strategies.
- Previous experience operating within a corporate or organisational environment rather than solely a clinical treatment setting.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills.
- Experience leading projects, influencing leaders and driving organisational change.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and manage sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance employee wellbeing with business outcomes.
