We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Storage Consultant to join our team.
About the Role
As our Storage Consultant, you'll be the face of DGSS, assisting customers throughout their storage journey while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility. This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, administration, sales and site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and or close the facility each day, ensuring the premises are secure.
- Assist customers in person, by phone and via email.
- Match customers with suitable self-storage units, warehouse spaces and office suites.
- Conduct site tours and explain the features and benefits of our storage solutions.
- Prepare rental agreements and maintain accurate customer records.
- Process payments and reconcile transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-presented facility.
- Identify and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks when required.
- Comply with company policies and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Strong administration and computer skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
- Sales experience or confidence identifying customer needs and recommending solutions.
- A current forklift licence (essential).
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred).
- Experience in self-storage, property, warehousing, logistics, retail or customer service will be highly regarded but is not essential.
