The ideal candidate is a highly skilled and adaptable data professional with experience navigating complex systems architecture and delivering reliable, scalable, and efficient data pipelines and platforms aligned with organisational data strategies. You will have a strong understanding of modern data infrastructure, with the ability to deploy, support and continuously improve platforms that are robust, fault tolerant, cost effective and highly automated. Comfortable balancing both new and legacy technologies, you bring a solutions-focused mindset and can optimise integrations while maintaining operational excellence. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with platform and product owners, solution architects, engineers, project teams and subject matter experts to build cross-functional capability and drive data maturity across the District. Most importantly, you enjoy a dynamic workplace where no two days are the same, remain calm under pressure, are energised by tight deadlines and complex problem solving, and are motivated by delivering outcomes in a rapid-evolving and ever-changing landscape.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain consolidated, high performing data assets from large and disparate source systems.

Extensive experience in the use of SQL programming, SSIS and other ETL tools.

Expertise in managing structured and unstructured data, both on premise and within a cloud environment.

An excellent eye for detail and proven ability to quickly understand and analyse complex systems, business processes and concepts.





Extensive knowledge and experience with health systems including the electronic Medical Record, clinical applications, Health Information Exchange (HIE), eHealth Data Lake, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Oracle Financials and Stafflink.

Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.

Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. High degree of professionalism and the capability to build rapport, influence and negotiate successful outcomes.

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
