Alltek Roofing Pty Ltd t/as Paterson Roofing Supplies is looking for a full-time qualified Sheet Metal Worker to join our team.

Paterson Roofing Supplies is a trusted roofing contractor based in Queanbeyan, specialising in residential, commercial and industrial roofing solutions.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and installation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties include:

- Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications.
- Select, measure and mark sheet metal materials to meet project requirements.
- Cut, shape and form sheet metal using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment.
- Fabricate, assemble and install roofing, flashings, gutters, downpipes and other sheet metal products.
- Join sheet metal components using appropriate fastening and welding techniques where required.
- Finish completed products by filing, grinding and cleaning to ensure quality workmanship.




- Repair or replace damaged sheet metal products and components as required.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Skills:

- A minimum of two years' relevant work experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Working Hours: 38 hours per week

Work Experience: At least two years' relevant experience.

Qualifications:

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Sheetmetal) or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.

Work Authorisation:

Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
