- Security Clearance: Baseline or eligible We are seeking two experienced Principal Java/Bespoke Software Engineers to join a federal government client, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), supporting the development and maintenance of a life-critical maritime and aviation search & rescue application (NEXUS). This is an prospect to work within a highly skilled engineering team delivering enterprise-scale Java, AWS, and Oracle solutions that support critical operational capabilities. Key Requirements:

✅ 8+ years’ experience in enterprise Java development (Java EE, Spring/Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate)

✅ Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, OpenAPI, and integration solutions





✅ Hands-on AWS development experience (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, CloudFormation)

✅ Strong Oracle database skills including data modelling and PL/SQL

✅ Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD, Linux/Unix)

✅ Ability to design and deliver complex software solutions at a senior/principal level Contract Opportunity:
