Reporting to the Manager – Finance, this Senior Management Accountant role will provide reporting to key stakeholders, a broad range of management and financial accounting, financial modelling and general commercial support to the Surface Mining Australia business.
Responsibilities Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including attending to the month-end close process.
Analyse financial data to monitor costs, identify variances, and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
Ensure all financial records comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Attend to Balance Sheet reconciliations for the legal entity.
Participate in regular project and team meetings to improve understanding of the operations and business. What You’ll Bring CPA or CA qualification
Minimum 5 years' accounting experience with exposure to medium sized public companies
Strong management accounting and financial modelling skills
Experience utilizing SAP4hana software
Flexibility to travel occasionally to further develop company stakeholder relationships
Experience within Surface Mining Operations (preferred) Role Details Location: Macmahon Head Office – Perth (Near T2)
