Elle Building Group is a growing insurance building company servicing insurance builders, property managers and homeowners throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland.
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Carpenter / Building All-Rounder to join our team.
This isn't a production building role. Every day is different. You'll be carrying out inspections, organising repairs, solving problems and completing a variety of maintenance and insurance repair works. The ideal person enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and can confidently manage multiple jobs at once.
About the Role
You will be involved in:
- Insurance building repairs
- Emergency make-safe works
- Roof repairs (tile and metal)
- Roof leak investigations
- Minor carpentry works
- Building maintenance
- Restoration works
- Site inspections and building assessments
- Preparing reports, photographs and documentation
- Ordering materials and coordinating repairs
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a minimum of 5 years' carpentry experience
- Can confidently work independently with minimal supervision
- Is comfortable working at heights and on roofs
- Can carry out site measures and order materials accurately
- Understands the fast-paced nature of the insurance building industry
- Can manage multiple jobs, changing priorities and competing deadlines without becoming overwhelmed
- Is organised and solutions-focused
- Has strong communication skills and presents professionally to homeowners, insurers and clients
- Has broad building knowledge across maintenance and repair works
- Is confident using smartphones, apps and technology for photos, reports and job management
Experience in insurance repairs, maintenance, roofing or restoration will be highly regarded.
Requirements
- Qualified Carpenter (mandatory)
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- White Card
- Working at Heights (or willingness to obtain)
- Own basic trade tools
