About the Role
This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role within our Design & Project Engineering team, driving high-quality engineering outcomes across Process Plant Design for both Greenfields and Brownfields minerals projects. You'll work closely with our Engineering Manager, bringing hands-on technical expertise to real, tangible project outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Performing design calculations for minerals processing plants — flotation, carbon-in-leach circuits, pumping systems, and conveyors
- Delivering complete engineering packages: datasheets, equipment specifications, layout development, and drawing reviews
- Applying sound engineering theory and practice to solve real-world project challenges
- Leveraging your bulk solids handling and conveyor design expertise
- Managing multiple concurrent projects with autonomy and ownership
- Getting involved on-site to support construction and commissioning when required
What You'll Bring
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years' experience in mining and minerals processing, ideally across gold and copper projects
- A strong technical background with the confidence to review and guide design outputs
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Sharp attention to detail and strong organisational skills to juggle competing priorities
- Proficiency in engineering design tools (Fluid flow, Sidewinder, or similar)
- Exposure to both greenfield and brownfield environments
- Familiarity with Australian and international codes and standards
