Senior Network Engineer (Juniper/Palo Alto)

Are you a Senior Network Engineer who enjoys delivering complex infrastructure projects while remaining hands on with technical design, deployments and troubleshooting?

An established technology organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their team, supporting a large enterprise workplace. This is a technically challenging role that combines project delivery, solution design and operational engineering across enterprise networking and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for delivering network projects from design through to implementation, while acting as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing enterprise solutions, producing HLDs and LLDs, leading deployments and solving challenging network problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead enterprise network deployments, upgrades and migration projects
- Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) and Low Level Designs (LLDs) for new and existing environments
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and fault finding across complex network infrastructure
- Act as the senior escalation point for critical incidents and technical issues
- Configure, deploy and support Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco and F5 technologies
- Design and support hybrid networking solutions connecting on premises infrastructure with Microsoft Azure
- Implement Azure networking services including Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall and Private Link
- Support production environments through incident response, root cause analysis and service restoration
- Maintain network documentation,



implementation standards and technical diagrams
- Mentor engineers and contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement

About You You are an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background delivering enterprise infrastructure projects and supporting mission critical environments.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Strong hands on experience with Juniper networking technologies
- Commercial experience supporting Palo Alto Firewalls
- Experience deploying and managing F5 Load Balancers
- Proven experience producing High Level Designs (HLDs) and Low Level Designs (LLDs)
- Excellent troubleshooting and fault finding skills across enterprise networks
- Experience leading network implementations, upgrades and migrations
- Strong understanding of enterprise routing, switching and security
- Ability to provide technical leadership and escalation support to engineering teams

Desirable

- Microsoft Azure networking experience including ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway and Private Link
- Cisco networking experience
- Experience with hybrid cloud networking
- Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, DNS and enterprise network security
- Experience working within ITIL environments using ServiceNow or Remedy
