Senior Network Engineer

Lead the design and delivery of secure, contemporary, application‑aware firewall solutions for enterprise environments.

We’re seeking a senior consultant/senior project network engineer with deep Fortinet FortiGate expertise (and solid Palo Alto exposure) who can combine technical authority with hands‑on implementation—owning projects end‑to‑end and simplifying complexity for customers.

This role will also involve rule remediations, policy for large estate and networking.

VXLAN, Data Centre Fabrics,Cloud, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPN, Zscaler branch connector and Firemon/algosec (desirable)

What you’ll do:

- Act as the firewall platforms SME across Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto, setting best‑practice standards.
- Design & deliver application‑aware, interface/zone‑based segmentation architectures for complex environments.
- Lead projects from discovery and HLD/LLD through migration, optimisation, documentation, and operational handover.
- Apply a structured, repeatable delivery methodology to ensure predictable, auditable outcomes.
- Configure, migrate, tune, and troubleshoot FortiGate platforms, including rule lifecycle management.
- Produce clear design, implementation, and as‑built documentation and engage confidently with customers and stakeholders.

What you’ll bring:

- Proven senior‑level delivery of enterprise firewall and segmentation projects.
- Fortinet expertise across: application/identity‑based policies, interface/zone models,



policy optimisation, OSPF/BGP/static routing, HA, VDOMs/ADOMs, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer, IPSec/SSL VPN, and Security Profiles/UTM/ATP.
- Strong Palo Alto fundamentals (zones/VSYS, Panorama, application‑aware policy design).
- Track record translating complex requirements into pragmatic, supportable designs — and delivering them hands‑on.
- Excellent consulting communication and stakeholder management, plus disciplined documentation.

- Certifications: Fortinet NSE4/5/7, PCNSE.
