IP Network Engineer - Sydney

As an IP Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale IP networking solutions across telecommunications and enterprise environments. You will work closely with customers and internal delivery teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing network infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience

- Strong knowledge of IP networking technologies and routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and IPv4/IPv6.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting carrier-grade or mobile core IP networks.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex, multi-vendor networking environments.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, redundancy, and high-availability network architectures.




- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and business teams.
- Experience working in customer-facing consulting or managed services environments.
- Experience with data centre networking technologies, including Cisco ACI and EVPN-VXLAN.
- Experience managing enterprise security platforms such as Fortinet, Check Point, F5, or equivalent.
- Exposure to network automation and scripting using tools such as Python, Ansible, NetBox, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with telecommunications operational environments and industry best practices.
- Solid IP/MPLS design, implementation, and troubleshooting capability.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with BGP routing in carrier or enterprise environments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Networking, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications such as CCNA,CCDP,CCNP, JNCIP/JNCIE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent will be considered advantageous.
