Senior Manager – Line 1 Risk | European Investment Bank A leading European investment bank is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Line 1 Risk function in Sydney.

This is a broad, business-facing leadership role offering close partnership with the front office and senior stakeholders across the bank. You'll play a key role in strengthening the risk and control environment while supporting strategic business initiatives across a diverse range of risk activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with the business to provide pragmatic, commercial risk advice.
- Lead product and client risk assessments.
- Drive the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
- Develop policies and procedures for emerging risk areas, including AI governance.
- Produce risk reporting and management information for senior leadership.
- Identify control enhancements and embed effective risk frameworks.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Build robust relationships across the business and control functions.





About You You'll be an experienced Line 1 Risk or Business Controls leader with experience gained within banking or capital markets.

You'll bring

- Strong knowledge of non-financial risk, governance and controls.
- Experience implementing regulatory change.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and balance commercial outcomes with effective risk management.
- Proven people leadership experience.
- Strong judgement, communication and problem-solving skills.
