Job Description

Sunrise Refrigerated Transport Pty Ltd operates within the refrigerated transport and logistics sector, providing temperature-controlled freight and distribution services for chilled and frozen goods. The business coordinates refrigerated freight movements, delivery capacity, customer distribution requirements and cold-chain controls while maintaining transport efficiency, product integrity and compliance with applicable food safety and transport standards. About the Role Sunrise Refrigerated Transport Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to plan, direct and control its refrigerated freight distribution operations.

The successful candidate will develop distribution strategies, manage freight capacity and service performance, control operating costs, oversee customer and contractor arrangements, and direct staff involved in dispatch, transport coordination and distribution activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, direct and control the business’s refrigerated freight distribution operations
- Develop and implement distribution strategies, operating procedures and service standards for temperature-controlled goods
- Assess customer demand, freight volumes and distribution requirements and determine the resources needed to meet service commitments
- Plan distribution capacity, delivery schedules and freight allocation to support timely and cost-effective movement of chilled and frozen goods
- Establish procedures for the collection, handling, transport and delivery of temperature-controlled freight
- Monitor cold-chain integrity, delivery outcomes,



distribution performance and customer service standards
- Negotiate and manage arrangements with customers, contractors, suppliers and logistics service providers
- Monitor distribution costs, vehicle utilisation, service efficiency and operational performance against approved budgets and targets
- Maintain and review systems recording freight movements, distribution transactions, delivery outcomes and temperature compliance
- Investigate service failures, temperature deviations, freight discrepancies and delivery delays and implement corrective action
- Prepare distribution budgets, operational forecasts and performance reports for management
- Direct, train and monitor employees involved in dispatch, transport coordination and distribution activities
- Ensure distribution operations comply with food safety, chain-of-responsibility, workplace health and safety and applicable transport requirements

Candidate Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business or a related discipline
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in supply, distribution, refrigerated transport or logistics management
- Experience in refrigerated transport, cold-chain logistics or food distribution will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of distribution planning, freight capacity, service performance and cost control
- Knowledge of cold-chain, food safety, chain-of-responsibility and workplace health and safety requirements
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing operational performanceStrong leadership, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time-sensitive distribution requirements and competing operational priorities
