Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is currently seeking an experiencedExperienced Koala Keeper to join our Wildlife team!
This hands-on role is responsible for supporting the daily care, husbandry, welfare, and management of Lone Pine’s koala population. You’ll help maintain industry-leading animal welfare standards while contributing to exceptional guest experiences and meaningful wildlife education.
As an Experienced Koala Keeper, you’ll monitor animal health and behaviour, maintain exhibits and facilities, support animal training procedures, and deliver secure and respectful animal visitor interactions.
You’ll also conduct informative presentations and work closely with other keepers and educators to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Alongside your general keeping responsibilities, you’ll assist with collecting and supplying fresh, high-quality koala food leaf. This requires an open manual driver’s licence, confidence working in a highly physical role, and the flexibility to work across weekends, public holidays, and school holidays.
