Appliance Technician – Kerrs Electrical & Appliance Service

Full-Time | Company Vehicle | Monthly RDO | Gym Membership | Career Progression

Looking for more than just another appliance repair job?

Kerrs Electrical & Appliance Service has been looking after Sunshine Coast homes since 1967. We’re looking for a motivated Appliance Technician to join our growing team in Caloundra. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys fault finding, working with their hands and dealing with customers — but also wants the opportunity to progress their trade and build a long-term career.

You’ll work across a range of domestic appliance repairs and refrigeration work, with manufacturer training and support from an experienced local team.

For the right person, we’re also open to helping you progress your qualifications into a Certificate III electrical or refrigeration trade.

The Role

Your day-to-day work will include:

- Fault finding and repairing domestic appliances
- Refrigeration and appliance service work
- Warranty and non-warranty repairs
- Diagnosing faults and providing clear repair recommendations
- Ordering and identifying required parts
- Completing accurate job notes and reports
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Working independently across the Sunshine Coast
- Attending manufacturer technical and training days

We work with some of Australia's leading appliance and air-conditioning manufacturers, giving our technicians the opportunity to continually improve their technical knowledge.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have:

- 1–2+ years' experience in appliance repair, refrigeration or the electrical trade

- Experience with domestic appliance repairs and refrigeration
- A restricted or full electrical licence
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of your jobs
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Current Australian work rights

We're looking for someone who is active, hands-on and comfortable with the physical nature of field service work.

You don't need to know everything. If you've got the right attitude, technical aptitude and willingness to learn, we can help develop the rest.

What You Get

We want Kerrs to be somewhere good technicians can build a career.

You'll receive:

- Monthly RDO
- Gym membership covered
- Company vehicle
- Fresh uniforms supplied
- Manufacturer training days
- Ongoing technical training and development
- Variety of appliance and refrigeration work
- Support from an established local team
- Opportunity to take on more responsibility as you develop
- Pathway into a Certificate III electrical or refrigeration qualification for the right applicant

Why Kerrs?

Kerrs Electrical & Appliance Service has been part of the Sunshine Coast since 1967.

We're building the next chapter of the business around outstanding technicians, strong customer service and developing our people.

If you're early in your career and don't want to spend the next five years doing exactly the same thing you're doing today, this could be the opportunity to broaden your skills, progress your trade and become a seriously capable technician.
