Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Sydney team and take a lead role in delivering complex structural design across our project portfolio. This is a senior, delivery-focused position with real autonomy, working closely with our Managing Director and Technical Director on live projects from concept through to construction.

You will be trusted to run your own projects, mentor junior engineers, and be a key technical point of contact for clients, certifiers and builders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead structural design and documentation for reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, steel and timber structures across residential, commercial and industrial projects
- Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports and construction documentation to Australian Standards
- Conduct and oversee site inspections, including dilapidation, condition assessment and construction stage support
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and intermediate engineers
- Liaise directly with clients, architects, builders and certifiers to resolve design and delivery issues




- Review and check work prepared by other engineers and drafters for accuracy and compliance
- Support fee proposals, project scoping and client relationship management where required
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation in line with company systems

Qualifications

- Minimum 7 to 10 years of structural engineering experience, with strong local Australian experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered status (CPEng) or actively working towards it, NER and/or RPEQ highly regarded
- Strong proficiency in post-tensioned and reinforced concrete design (RAPT, RAM Concept or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of ETABS, SPACE GASS or similar structural analysis software
- Solid understanding of AS3600, AS4100, AS1170 series and relevant NCC requirements
- Experience with temporary works, formwork or propping design highly regarded but not essential
- Proven ability to run projects independently and manage client relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
