Senior Systems Administrator - Infrastructure Maintenance | Enterprise Environment | Sydney

Are you an experienced Systems Administrator who enjoys keeping critical infrastructure secure, secure and running at its best?

We're looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join a large enterprise technology team responsible for maintaining and supporting mission-critical server infrastructure. This is a hands-on operational role where you'll play a key part in ensuring the ongoing availability, security and performance of enterprise platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

- Administer and support enterprise Windows and Linux server environments.
- Perform regular patching, upgrades and vulnerability remediation across infrastructure platforms.
- Monitor platform health, performance, availability and capacity.
- Respond to incidents, investigate root causes and contribute to problem management activities.
- Support infrastructure implementations, upgrades and operational improvement initiatives.
- Work across virtualised environments including VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.
- Maintain Active Directory, DNS, NTP and other core infrastructure services.
- Contribute to infrastructure security, compliance and governance initiatives.
- Develop and improve operational documentation, standards and support procedures.
- Collaborate with infrastructure,



security and application teams to deliver reliable technology services.

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally bring

- 5+ years' experience in Systems Administration or Infrastructure Support within enterprise environments.
- Strong experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux.
- Experience supporting VMware vSphere, Hyper-V or similar virtualisation technologies.
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, NTP and core infrastructure services.
- Experience with enterprise patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- Exposure to backup and recovery platforms.
- Good understanding of networking, storage and infrastructure security concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience creating technical documentation, operational procedures and support standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple technology teams.
