Cleared Professional Services provides specialist consulting, architecture and engineering capability across Defence, National Security and regulated environments. Our Sovereign Cloud Practice focuses on VMware Cloud Foundation and sovereign cloud platforms, delivering secure, compliant and high performing private cloud solutions.

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to deliver technical consulting across VMware Cloud Foundation and sovereign cloud projects. You will implement approved designs, automate platform operations, troubleshoot issues and produce clear technical documentation. This role is delivery focused, with a strong emphasis on automation, consistency and high quality technical outcomes. Consultants who build deeper design capability will have a clear pathway into architecture roles.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Deliver consulting work aligned to approved architectures and Statements of Work
- Build, configure, validate and maintain VCF environments
- Lead assigned workstreams with autonomy
- Produce accurate and reusable as built documentation
- Identify and escalate design issues, delivery risks and scope concerns early
- Support customer workshops, technical discussions and operational handovers
- Contribute implementation patterns, known issues and reusable artefacts to the practice
- Maintain accurate timesheets, status updates and delivery reporting

Education/Certifications Required

- 4+ years hands on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation or related VMware technologies
- Recent hands on experience with VCF 9 or VCF 5.2 / vSphere 8
- Experience delivering infrastructure, virtualisation,



cloud or private cloud consulting engagements

Knowledge/Skills Required

- Strong experience across vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN and NSX
- Experience implementing solutions from existing designs
- Strong troubleshooting capability across platform, infrastructure and networking
- Experience producing customer facing technical documentation
- Experience working in structured delivery environments
- Ability to work directly with customer technical teams

Highly Desirable

- Deep automation experience with VCF 9.1 All Apps
- Experience with VMware Aria Automation, Aria Orchestrator, PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible and Git workflows
- Ability to automate Day 0, Day 1 and Day 2 operations
- Strong NSX experience including segmentation, gateways, distributed firewall, load balancing and identity integration
- Understanding of how networking and security design affects automation and workload onboarding

Desirable

- Experience delivering VCF across greenfield builds, expansion, upgrades and lifecycle management
- vSAN and storage delivery experience
- Enterprise Linux administration
- Experience enabling VKS, Tanzu or similar Kubernetes platforms
