About our Apprenticeship Program

Join us as an Apprentice in January 2027!

Our Apprentice Substation Electricians work in teams and carry out duties associated with the maintenance, installation, augmentation and fault finding and fixing of all electrical plant and equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and HV switch gear and LV switchboards.

Our Apprentices must be willing to work outdoors, at heights and in all weather conditions.

Our four-year program sees our Apprentices:

- Be secure. Solid skills, real experience, and a future career that’s going places.
- Be trained . Earn a nationally recognised TAFE certification.
- Be supported. Great pay, valuable advantages and a 1:1 mentor to support your journey.
- Be valued. Feel supported from day one and grow as part of a wider team.
- Be hands-on. Build and learn practical skills from the best in the business.

Certificate III – Electrotechnology Electrician (A Grade Licence).

Program eligibility

At least one of the following pre-requisites:

- Units 1 & 2 General Maths (Year 11 equivalent); or
- VCAL or VCE Vocational Major; or
- Currently completing (or completed) a pre-apprenticeship TAFE training course in Electrotechnology (Cert II)*.

- If you are currently completing a pre-requisite subject, you are eligible to apply, as long as it will be successfully completed by the end of the 2026 academic year.
