Kangaroo Bus Lines (KBL) is a proudly family-owned and operated business with over 47 years of experience in the transport industry. With more than 160 buses and coaches and depots across South East Queensland, we continue to grow and invest in our people, facilities and fleet.
We are currently seeking reliable and hands-on Labourers, Trade Assistants and Fabricators to join our in-house Paint & Panel Workshop at our Burpengary Depot.
This is a practical, workshop-based role supporting the repair, restoration and ongoing upkeep of our bus fleet. You’ll work alongside our experienced maintenance team, assisting with a variety of paint, panel and fabrication tasks.

Previous experience in coach, motorbody, automotive, fabrication or similar work will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist tradespeople with panel repairs, fabrication and general workshop tasks
- Support paint and panel repairs following accidents, damage or general wear and tear
- Carry out cutting, grinding, sanding and preparation work
- Assist with welding and general fabrication tasks
- Prepare buses and components for painting, including cleaning, masking and basic preparation
- Assist with the repair and upkeep of our bus fleet
- Complete general labouring duties around the workshop and depot as required
- Maintain a clean, protected and organised work environment
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Work as part of a team to ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
- Practical and confident using basic hand and workshop tools
- Comfortable performing physical and hands-on work
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Takes pride in delivering quality work
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Experienced in coach, motorbody, automotive, fabrication or similar work (highly regarded)
