Job Title: Architectural & Design (A&D;) Sales Representative – Acoustic Coatings

McPherson Coatings is a Melbourne-based specialist in architectural acoustic spray coatings, and the sole supplier and installer of Acosorb — a refined acoustic spray solution used across commercial, residential, and hospitality projects. Backed by McPherson Painting, an established commercial painting business with 20+ staff and a strong reputation across Victoria, we're expanding our footprint in the architecture and design community.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced A&D; Sales Representative to drive specification and sales of our Acosorb acoustic spray range across Victoria. You'll build and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, acoustic consultants, builders, and project managers — positioning Acosorb as the go-to acoustic solution from concept through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with architects, designers, and specifiers to drive product specification

Conduct CPD presentations and product training sessions with design and construction firms

Identify and pursue new project opportunities across commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors





Provide technical product guidance and support through the specification and tender process

Manage a sales pipeline via CRM, tracking leads from initial contact through to project completion

Represent McPherson Coatings at industry events, trade shows, and site visits

Work closely with our operations and estimating teams to ensure smooth handover from specification to delivery

About You

Proven experience in architectural sales, specification sales, or building products sales (essential)

Existing relationships within Victoria's architecture and design community highly regarded

Solid communication and presentation skills, with confidence delivering CPD sessions

Self-motivated, able to manage your own territory and pipeline independently

Understanding of acoustic products, coatings, or construction materials advantageous but not essential — full product training provided

Valid driver's licence and own vehicle

What We Offer

- Salary $85,000–$110,000 depending on experience, plus superannuation
