About the Role
In our pursuit to provide excellent quality and service, EMCO have an established a Quality Assurance division. We are responsible for the upkeep of building services and finishes after handover and during the Construction Liability/Warranty period.

Individual jobs will be planned and coordinated by your direct Manager, while you’ll liaise with Owners and Occupants on site. In most cases, your general trade experience will allow you to independently complete the works, however, more complex tasks will require involve external sub-contractors and EMCO site teams. Our projects are located across the larger Perth Metro area, and although Head office is based in Osborne Park, in most cases you will work from home with use of the fully equipped company vehicle.
As part of our small team, the outcome of your tasks will regularly be shared with your colleagues in a collaborative improvement process, whereby your “lessons learned” benefit the team.

Your Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to and complete allocated tasks
- Inspect and oversee a variety of sites to resolve defects
- Perform a variety of repair and improvement activities as needed
- You’ll need to be on the tools and proficient in using them
- Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety rules, guidelines and regulations
- Identify and fully resolve causes of concern with minimal inconvenience
- Be courteous and patience in your dealings with owners and clients
- Liaising with trades to arrange tasks
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with trades
- Liaising with the office team including admin and accounts
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely, proficient and safe manner
To succeed in the role, you will:
- have at least five (5) years' experience in a similar role orin a construction related trade.
- be trade qualified with a TAFE qualification preferred
- be able to work independent and diligently while still being a team player
- hold a valid Construction Industry White Card and a Drivers licence
- hold a current First Aid certificate, work at height and EWP
- show dedication and commitment to the health and safety of employees at all levels
- have organisation and time management skills, able to think on your feet and find timely solutions to maintenance issues as scheduled or ad hoc issues arise
- be able to remain calm under pressure – this is a busy role with many challenges
