Your new role

As a Short Term Planner, you will play a critical role in coordinating and optimising maintenance activities to maximise fleet availability and reliability. Working closely with both site and central teams, you will ensure maintenance plans are executed efficiently, safely, and with minimal operational disruption.

Key responsibilities include

- Develop and maintain a rolling weekly +2 maintenance plans
- Coordinate labour, parts, tooling, and resources for scheduled maintenance activities
- Manage maintenance backlog, defects, and work prioritisation
- Schedule condition monitoring activities and statutory maintenance requirements
- Balance maintenance workloads against labour capacity and operational demands
- Lead daily and weekly maintenance planning meetings
- Monitor plan compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Coordinate breakdown planning, component replacements,



and warranty processes
- Maintain accurate work order documentation and CMMS records

What you'll need to succeed

- Previous experience in a Short-Term Planner or Maintenance Planner position
- Trade qualification and experience working with heavy mobile equipment
- Experience with CAT, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment is highly regarded
- Strong maintenance planning and scheduling experience within mining or heavy industry
- Well-developed organisational and prioritisation skills
- Understanding of mining maintenance practices and equipment reliability principles
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
