SITE ENGINEER - MAJOR HIGHWAYS PROJECT - SCOTLAND - CONTRACT (Inside IR35) Site Engineer currently required by a leading civil engineering main contractor, who require an experiencedSite Engineer to join a major highways infrastructure project in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme involving earthworks, drainage, roads, reinforced concrete structures and associated infrastructure works.

Responsibilities - Carry out all setting out duties for highways and civil engineering works - Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications - Manage quality assurance processes and maintain quality records - Produce and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) - Complete as-built surveys and documentation - Perform site surveys using Leica, Trimble and GPS equipment - Liaise with Site Agents, Sub Agents, Foremen and subcontractors - Monitor and report progress against programme - Ensure works are completed safely and in line with company procedures - Support the delivery of reinforced concrete structures,



drainage and highways packages - Identify and resolve engineering issues on site - Assist with RAMS reviews and permit systems where required Requirements - Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highways or major infrastructure projects - Strong setting out background - Experience of quality assurance, ITPs, inspections and handover documentation - Knowledge of reinforced concrete structures - Proficient with Leica, Trimble and GPS surveying equipment - Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications - HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline - CSCS card as a minimum - Full UK driving licence Desirable - Experience on Transport Scotland or National Highways projects - Earthworks and drainage experience - Temporary works awareness - SMSTS or SSSTS - First Aid qualification Remuneration - Prospect to work on a flagship Scottish infrastructure project - Long-term project - Competitive day rate, Inside IR35 - Exposure to major highways and structures works If you are a Site Engineer with strong setting out and quality assurance experience looking for your next challenge in Scotland, we'd like to hear from you
