Job Description

Painting Trades Worker - Hamilton Valley NSW Recruiters Kogan People Solutions are assisting the management team of this well-regarded business as they recruit their recent painter. Our client is based in Hamilton Valley NSW, and the workload includes all aspects of residential and commercial painting and decorating for both interior and exterior applications. They service a wide geographic belt across the Albury - Wodonga region, and the surrounding areas.

This skilled painting and decorating firm are renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. They now seek another skilled and qualified full-time painter to join the team. The work is full time and ongoing.

Salary - great salary in the range $80,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.

- Well experienced in all aspects of the painting trade.
- Excellent communication skills.
- You must be comfortable working in a team or independently.
- A clear Driver's License is essential.

Duties will include:

- Painting to the highest standard of workmanship - surface prep, as well as mixing and matching.
- Working with a deep understanding of OHS practices and requirements, apply protective and decorative coats of paint,



varnish and/or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other structures.
- Washing, scraping, sanding and/or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials.
- Thoroughly cleaning equipment, paint mixing area and work area.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining all sorts of internal surfaces, walls to ceilings.
- Competently erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at all heights.
- Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.

To successfully apply, you:

- Possess relevant trade certificates to at least Certificate III level plus 2 years supervised working experience, Cert IV, or agreed substitute.
- Have a minimum of 1 year's working experience in the field (preferably more) since you acquired your qualifications.
- Excellent demonstrated team skills, patience, and empathy.
- Are prompt and reliable, with excellent time management skills.
- Are eager to secure a full-time salaried position (so this role is not available for sub-contractors)
