About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Product Designer to join a high-profile digital transformation program focused on modernising a complex business platform. You'll play a key role in designing intuitive user experiences as a legacy application is migrated to a cloud-based environment, helping deliver a more efficient and accessible digital solution.
Working within an agile, multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate closely with designers, developers, business analysts and stakeholders to translate complex business rules into user-friendly interfaces. This role offers the opportunity to influence product direction through user research, prototyping, usability testing and iterative design while contributing to a project with long-term strategic value.
Position: Product (UI/UX) Designer - $600-$650/day + Super
Location: Parramatta
Working Arrangement:
Hybrid | 1-2 days in office per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: 12 months with strong extension potential

Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive user interfaces for complex digital products and cloud-based platforms.
- Produce low, medium and high-fidelity wireframes, mock-ups and interactive prototypes using Figma.
- Apply and maintain established design systems while contributing new reusable components where appropriate.
- Translate complex business processes and technical requirements into simple user experiences.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including design sprints, planning sessions and backlog refinement.
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing and validation sessions to inform design decisions.
- Analyse research findings and convert insights into practical design improvements.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is accurately implemented.
- Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation within Jira.
- Maintain design documentation, research outcomes and decision logs within Confluence.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and co-design sessions to gather requirements and validate concepts.
- Identify usability risks, dependencies and opportunities to improve product outcomes.
- Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
- Support continuous improvement of digital experiences through ongoing testing and iteration.
- Contribute to design governance, quality assurance and best practice across the product lifecycle.
About You
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer or Digital Product Designer,
ideally within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design across complex systems, platforms or digital products.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design systems, components, auto layout and prototyping.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing and synthesising customer insights.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design methodologies and agile delivery practices.
- Experience documenting user stories, design decisions and requirements using Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive digital experiences.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working alongside developers, business analysts and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Exposure to Salesforce or other enterprise cloud platforms will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining delivery quality and timelines.
- Australian Government or public sector project experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Full Australian working rights are required. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a long-term visa with unrestricted work rights in Australia.
