Flexible Contractor Opportunity | Melbourne

Looking for a flexible psychology role with the support of a specialist team and the backing of Howden, a fast-growing global insurance broking group?

Care Pathways Australia is part of Howden Insurance Brokers (Australia), a fast-growing global insurance group with a strong presence in Australia. We provide meaningful allied health support to children, young people and families in practical, supportive ways. Part of the Howden Broking Group, the world's largest privately owned insurance broker, headquartered in London, since launching Howden in the Pacific region in March 2021, we have grown from a team of three to over 600 employees across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

We’re growing our psychology team and are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and families, values flexibility, and wants the backing of a supportive, stable and growing global organisation.

Our mantra is to bePeople First. We believe you can teach someone new skills, but not how to be a different person. We offer a chance to join a rapidly growing business at an exciting time, with a genuinely collegiate culture and highly engaged team.

We’re seeking experienced registered psychologist offering the flexibility of contractor work with the support and stability of Howden — an entrepreneurial, fast-growing global business. We’re open to part-time, full-time, school-hours, remote, work-from-home or office-connected arrangements and can explore a working pattern that suits you and our clients.

This opportunity offers you the chance to grow, contribute, and shape a career that fits your lifestyle.

The opportunity

We have opportunities available across the Inner,

Eastern and southeastern suburbs of Melbourne and we also welcome expressions of interest from professionals in Victorian regional areas, thanks to our strong national telehealth service delivery model.

Your caseload can be tailored to your interests and experience, with opportunities to provide:

- Paediatric therapy
- Parent coaching (can be delivered via telehealth or in person)
- Psychological and developmental assessments
- Community and home based therapy (eg. Schools, Kindergarten, Childcare)

You’ll work closely with families, educators and our multidisciplinary team to help children build the skills they need to thrive.

Let’s talk about you

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

- Passionate about working with children and families.
- Someone who enjoys working independently while staying connected to a supportive team.
- Confident building solid relationships with families, schools and other professionals.

You’ll also hold (or be willing to obtain):

- AHPRA Registration
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- ABN and insurances

Experience with NDIS and paediatrics is highly desirable, and if you have experience in assessments or parent support/coaching, we’d love to hear about it.

Just as importantly,

you will be someone who embodies our cultural values: Put people first, be authentic, challenge complacency, think client, pursue excellence and keen to make your mark.

Why Join Howden?

What’s next?

If you’re looking for a role that gives you flexibility, meaningful work and the backing of a growing global business, we’re open to talking through part-time, full-time, remote, work-from-home or office-connected options to find the right fit.
