The Role
The Group Manager Transformation is responsible for leading and orchestrating VicTrack’s enterprise transformation portfolio, providing end to end oversight of all transformation initiatives to ensure they are strategically aligned, appropriately prioritised and sequenced and deliver sustainable organisational change and intended business outcomes.
Acting as the central coordination point for VicTrack’s transformation program, the position effective governance frameworks, reporting and decision-making processes that support successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
The role provides oversight of major transformation initiatives and supports executive decision-making to ensure successful outcomes and benefits are achieved.
Working closely with executives, project teams and stakeholders, you will ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to delivering organisation-wide transformation.
This position is offered as a 3-year PESES-1 contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively model the behaviours and values of a high performing organisation, demonstrating visible and consistent leadership through meaningful workplace presence, accountability, collaboration and a commitment to organisational success.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation and champion collaborative ways of working that support strategic outcomes.
- Lead and guide VicTrack's enterprise transformation portfolio, ensuring initiatives are aligned to strategic priorities, effectively coordinated and positioned to deliver sustainable organisational change and long-term value.
- Support, coach and mentor project teams in the application of project management methodologies, building capability and confidence to successfully deliver projects within the VicTrack framework.
- Establish and maintain effective governance, reporting and delivery frameworks that support consistent and successful transformation outcomes.
- Provide enterprise-wide oversight of transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are coordinated, risks and dependencies are effectively managed, and intended benefits and organisational outcomes are achieved.
- Lead the evaluation and prioritisation of transformation initiatives and commercial opportunities, supporting informed investment decisions and the organisation's future capability and readiness.
- Provide trusted strategic advice, portfolio insights and recommendations to senior executives, the Board and key stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and successful transformation outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Organisational Change, Project Management or a related discipline (mandatory).
- Postgraduate qualifications and/or recognised qualifications in change management, transformation or program management (desirable).
Knowledge & Experience:
- Ten years’ experience leading enterprise transformation, portfolio management or organisational change functions within a complex organisation (mandatory).
- Highly developed leadership and people management skills, with the ability to foster a positive, high-performing and collaborative culture. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, encourage innovation, build trust, and support, coach and develop employees and emerging leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and with internal and external stakeholders. Identifies and removes barriers to engagement, builds trust through consistent communication, and fosters a constructive and inclusive approach to working together.
- Experience delivering high-quality outcomes that meet the expectations of senior executives, the Board and other key stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to translate organisational priorities into clear delivery plans, manage competing priorities and resource constraints, and achieve meaningful results in complex environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives within complex organisations, including establishing governance frameworks, coordinating multiple workstreams and aligning transformation activities with strategic priorities. Able to balance competing organisational needs and deliver sustainable business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex portfolios of work, including sequencing initiatives, managing dependencies, monitoring benefits realisation and providing insights that support executive decision-making and investment priorities.
- Highly developed ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, build commitment to change and foster alignment across business groups. Able to provide strategic advice and support the successful implementation of transformation initiatives in complex organisational environments.
